Puthimari College, Kamrup was established in 1981.As a result of untiring effort of a group of eminent educationist and the people of the Puthimari area the college come into existence .Affiliated to Guwahati University in 1989-90, the college was finally brought under the deficit grant-in-aid system in april, 1992.The college is assessed by NAAC and is accredited c++ grade in 2004.It is registered under the section 12(b) of the university grants commission act 1956.A host of dedicated teacher and staff has been working continuously to bring the college to its present prestigious position and thus have passed the glorious 25 years.
