Sriram Educational Trust was initiated in the year 1983 for the noble purpose of promoting education at all levels. In order to benefit the students of backward areas of Thiruvallur, Arakkonam, Tiruttani & Vellore District of Tamil Nadu, Sriram Educational Trust has established Sriram College of Arts & Science, in the year 1998. It is affiliated to University of Madras and approved by Government of Tamil Nadu and also All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Trust has acquired about 50 acres of land with good drinking water resources with aesthetic sylvan beauty around Perumalpattu Village closely situated to Veppampattu Railway Station on the Chennai Thiruvallur broad guage railway track. This makes it easy for the students and also the public to reach the college easily.
