Thiru Kolanjiappar Government Arts College started functioning in the name of Lord Kolanjiappar from the year of 1966. Since then the college caters the educational needs of the socially and economically backward students community in the 40 kms radious of Vriddhachalam taluk. This is the only Government college in this area offering totally free of cost education to the downtrodden as per the Government of Tamilnadu norms.
