GATE : GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), is an All-India Examination conducted by the seven Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institute of Science, Banglore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

MS - IT ( MS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)
The MSIT programme was started in 2001 and students were admitted to the Learning Centres at International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, School of IT, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, College of Engineering, Osmania University and Regional Engineering College (REC, now NIT), Warangal in the last four years.
 
CAT : COMMON ADMISSION TEST
If you want to become a management graduate and make a mark in the management of business in the country or abroad, there are many institutes, both State - run and private, which can provide you the requisite degree. For getting admission into these management institutes, you have to appear for entrance tests. These include CAT (for IIMs), MAT (AIMA), XAT (XLRI), FMS, JMET (IITs & IISc), OPENMAT (IGNOU) and a large number of others. Of these, we are going to talk about two major admission tests CAT (Common Admission Test) and MAT (Management Aptitude Test), which can open the floodgates of opportunities in this field.
 
GMAT : GRADUATE MANAGEMENT ADMISSION TEST

The Graduate Management Admission Test is a Standardized test that measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. It is intended to help the graduate schools of business assess the potential of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Nearly 900 management institutes all over the world (almost all of them in the US) require GMAT scores from each applicant. The GMAT tests the fundamental skills -including  reasoning and comprehension. The test has no question paper or answer sheets, nor does it have the same set of questions for all the examinees. Further, it does not give you the option of not answering a question (unless, of course, you run out of time at the end). All this because the GMAT is now  entirely Computer based.The test is scored out of 800 (in multiples of 10), and most scores fall in the range of 500-600.

IELTS : INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM
IELTS tests the complete range of English language skills which will commonly be encountered by students when studying or training in the medium of English. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. There is an option of either Academic or General Training Reading and Writing Modules. Academic is suitable for candidates planning to undertake higher education study. General Training is suitable for candidates planning to undertake non-academic training or work experience, or for immigration purposes.
 
SAT : SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST

Despite the great changes in American society since the SAT was first administered, the College Board's aims held: to provide educational institutions with an honest measure of American students' abilities. To remain true to the College Board's founding principles, the SAT has been adapted to reflect the needs of students and the colleges they are preparing to enter. This is part of a larger procession of change toward greater access and equity in the American educational system.

The purpose of engineering is to design and manufacture the hardware of life. They design, manufacture, repair, modify and construct efficient and economical hardware of life. There are three different levels of engineering courses available in the country.
 
AIEEE : ALL INDIA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMS

CESE : COMBINED ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMS
The Combined Engineering Services Examination is held once a year generally in the month of June/July. This examination is conducted by the Commission in accordance with the provisions of the Rules notified from time to time by the Government of India

JEE : JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM
The Indian Institutes of Technology are Institutions of national importance established through an act of Parliament. Among the professional courses in the Engineering stream, the education given by the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) is deemed as one among the best all over the world. Infact, these institutes play a leading role in technological manpower development and research programmes comparable to the best in the world. The admissions to undergraduate programmes for all Indian and Foreign nationals at these institutions are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
 
CET : COMMON ENTRANCE TEST
Common Entrance Test at state level is conducted for admission to free and payment seats in various Engineering colleges. Admission to Government, University Private Aided and Private Unaided Engineering colleges and Regional Engineering colleges (Karnataka Quota) is completely regulated through CET.
 
SCRA : SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE
Special Class Railway Apprentice is an Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This course is on a Special Class Apprentices in the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering.
